Our Past Projects

Residential

Benninger Residence

Dr. Benninger hired our company to design, build and manage all the modifications to his residence. He provided us with a brief description of what he wanted and requested we render a plan.

We provided him with a colored architectural drawing detailing our vision for his residence. Dr. Benninger was delighted with the recommendations and hired us to perform his modification.

After several months of work, the project was completed on time and in Dr. Benninger's words, "well beyond my expectations for quality and professionalism."

Ada Residence - Hardscape Fire Pit

This particular project was designed to meet two expectations presented by this customer. They wanted to eliminate old and deteriorated retaining walls and wanted to increase the size of their entertaining capabilities.

They also expressed an interest in having the capability to burn wood outside his home. When we explained that we could bring a little touch of the country to his home in the city, he was intrigued by the concept.

As a result of that conversation, we presented him with an architectural drawing and a schedule to complete the project.

The success of this small project has led to other similar hardscape designs in the surrounding area.

ACT Project Artist's Creating Together - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Peterson Beach House - West Olive, Michigan

Kolasa Residence

This home was built in Rockford, Michigan for the Kolassa family. We assisted Mr. Kolasa with this project with special guidelines established in our contract. Todd wanted to build his dream home and help keep costs to a minimum by providing as much labor as he could while working a full time job. Time was not an issue, so we completed the major construction tasks while Mr. Kolasa tackled many of the minor finish details.

Our partnership with Mr. Kolasa proved to be a successful venture. We completed this project and helped keep Mr. Kolasa within the predetermined budget parameters.

We not only developed a customer with this project we also gained a friend. Mr. Kolasa refers work to us on a regular basis.

Case Residence - Insurance Work, State Farm

State Farm has hired our company to participate in complete home modifications for victims involved in life altering accident. In these scenarios we will meet with the victims, case workers and representatives from the insurance company. The nature of these projects requires a company that is completely capable of design build scenarios. From the planning stage, through permitting, inspection and final finish, each stage of this type of project has its unique challenges, and we have the knowledge and experience to deal with these issues.

We will design a home that fits the needs of the victims, while considering the budget parameters set by the insurance company. In most cases we will modify the existing first floor to adhere to Americans Disability Act standards. These modification generally require building egress ramps, widening doorways and adding kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and garages to existing homes.

Elks' Country Club

Randy Barnard, owner of Great Lakes Grilling, approached our company and provided us with his vision to remodel the Elks' Country Club. The renovation included the bar, restaurant and banquet facility. The country club was dated and Randy expressed an interest in providing a complete renovation to attract new business.

After working with Randy over several months, a plan was presented and accepted by Randy.

We completed the extensive renovation in about four months. With proper planning and coordination we were able to keep the business functioning during the renovation. While we demolished the bar and rebuilt that area, we actually constructed a temporary bar that the Health Department approved and allowed the club to operate normally. While renovating the banquet facility, the temporary bar was moved to areas of the club that had been completed.

The project was completed on time and once again, exceeded the expectations of not only Randy, but the customers of the club.

Leonard Street Christian Church

In June 2010, our company was approached by Kent Power project manager, Eric Stewart. Eric advised us that he needed our assistance in modifying a 100 year old church steeple. The challenge was that the steeple was located about 90' above ground level, on top of a church tower.

The plan included opening up the steeple and building a structure inside the steeple that would support cell tower equipment. After working with Eric we designed a plan to remove all the components of the 30' steeple, install the equipment and rebuild that steeple. We also renovated the severely deteriorated tower and provided the church with a great, fresh look for their most cherished exterior focal point.

The project was completed on time, within budget and met the expectations of Kent Power, and most importantly the members of Leonard Street Christian Church.
